As its name suggests, peanut butter coffee is a sweet and energizing blend of coffee, peanut butter, and everything else you can possibly imagine. Like your regular coffee drinks, you can try out different ways to prepare this drink.
In this post, I will share with you my peanut butter coffee recipe so you learn how to drink it right!
What Is Peanut Butter Coffee?
Don’t feel weird if you find yourself asking what is peanut butter coffee. For most people, the idea of mixing their daily coffee with anything else may seem like a crime. For many years I used to be the same, but with time I’ve started experimenting with some traditional coffee beverages, like a delicious cold coffee brew, to the more experimental coffee ice cubes. Some of these experiments have resulted better than others, but in general, they all have a unique taste that’s perfect for specific occasions.
Some time ago I decided to try out peanut butter coffee, and to my surprise, it has become one of my favorite drinks; so much that I often find myself testing my self-control to avoid drinking it all the time. Its delicious combination of coffee and peanut butter might sound strange at first, but it actually tastes really good. I’ve even tried it out with chocolate peanut butter and it also tastes great.
The best part of this coffee drink is that you can either drink it alone, or you can combine it with a variety of different kinds of milk and other add-ons. Chocolate syrup can be added to create one of my favorite mixes.
Peanut Butter in Coffee
The idea of adding peanut butter to coffee sounds strange at first. Why would anyone ruin a perfect cup of coffee by adding anything else aside from milk? However, it happens to be that the idea is not so weird after all.
In case you are wondering, “Is peanut butter good for us?”, I recommend you do some research. Peanuts are a great source of nutrients and energy; check out for yourself their nutrition facts. Thanks to their salty flavor and rich aroma, it is not crazy that they blend perfectly with coffee. Even the texture is great.
When done correctly, any peanut butter coffee recipe feels as good as a regular coffee. However, keep in mind that it’s important to prepare it properly, otherwise you might just end up drinking a strange tasting coffee peanut beverage. Trust me, it happened to me when trying this out for the first time.
Can I Mix Milk and Peanut Butter?
In case you are wondering, you can definitely mix peanut butter and milk. Keep in mind that different kinds of peanut butter will create different flavors in different types of milk. Try to find out the one that works best for you. I personally recommend using almond milk, but soy milk is also another good alternative. Adding maple syrup or vanilla extract to the mix is also worth exploring.
Try to keep the peanut butter-milk ratio somewhere between a tablespoon peanut butter dose for every half cup of milk. Don’t worry if you lose your self-control and you add more peanut butter, at worst you will have to make sure that your coffee is really hot for it to dissolve.
Peanut Butter Coffee Keto
One of the best combinations for a great peanut butter coffee recipe involves using It Works keto coffee. If you are not familiar with this keto coffee brand, I highly recommend you check out my article on it. It is particularly interesting and easy to prepare, and if you are on a keto diet, it is totally worth trying. Just remember to review the recommendations for keto coffee in case you are not familiar with it.
If you are looking for something that’s different but not necessarily keto-related, check out my Choclevate review. It might be worth the look for a unique coffee experience.
The Most Delicious Recipe
My personal peanut butter coffee recipe varies from time to time. I like to experiment with it, so sometimes I use soy milk, and on other occasions, I like to add chocolate syrup to it. Sometimes I drink it hot, and sometimes I just make some peanut butter iced coffee or a peanut butter mocha.
Whatever your personal coffee preference is, this is my recipe for a great peanut butter coffee:
- Add two tablespoons of peanut butter to the mixer. If it is homemade peanut butter, even better.
- Add hot water or milk so the peanut butter will dissolve best. Mix until they are perfectly combined. Remember to keep in mind the coffee to water ratio, or in this case peanut butter-milk ratio of 2:1.
- Add the equivalent of two tablespoons of your favorite coffee brew. This may vary depending on how strong you want it to be.
- Add whatever other thing you’d like in the mix. It can be any type of syrup and even bananas. Just make sure to mix them properly.
- Enjoy your delicious peanut butter coffee!
Remember you can make all sorts of different coffee drinks with this recipe. Get creative and experiment until you find that perfect blend.
Conclusion: How Did I like It
Aside from the taste of the peanut butter coffee, I think that the possibility of being able to add different things to it makes it even better. Depending on my mood I can always add a thing or two that will change its flavor and texture. I can even make a peanut butter latte or a peanut butter cappuccino. That way, I feel that I don’t have to drink the same coffee over and over.
Each new experiment is a new opportunity to try something different. Even my friends who don’t regularly drink coffee like this combination, so it is a great drink for social gatherings.
